Eating around a table full of food and the people you love should bring joy. But often times, preparing the food and making sure the home is ready for guests is very stressful and intimidating. Let me ease your fears with these ideas. Come into my kitchen and let’s prepare a simple and easy Thanksgiving.
GROCERY LIST
Here is a quick list of common items to make a delicious spread. Add anything special you enjoy or a traditional dish. This list is a great starting point and I hope it inspires you.

DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING
Get a head start so there is less to do on the actual day. Make stuffing (or dressing) with homemade chicken stock, leftover bread, celery and onions. Prepare green bean casserole and keep it in the fridge to bake on Thanksgiving. Make at least one dessert, such as a pie or pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies.
THANKSGIVING DAY FOOD PREP

- Prepare the turkey and put it in the oven
- Make another dessert
- Peel potatoes and boil them
- Take turkey out of the oven and let it rest before carving
- Bake side dishes and rolls in the oven
- Make mashed potatoes
- Prepare corn and gravy on stove
- Carve the turkey
SET THE TABLE

Bring out the best dishes and the nice glasses. Place all of the side dishes in separate bowls, put gravy in a gravy boat. Place the turkey in the center of the table. Now it is time to enjoy all of the hard work.
